About me

Hello! My name is Martí Serras, and I'm currently a fourth-year student at  Pompeu Fabra  pursuing a degree in Design and Production of Videogames. My journey in the world of gaming has allowed me to hone my skills primarily as a designer, but I'm also adept at game programming. My educational background provides me with a unique blend of both the artistic and technical aspects of game development.

My Roles in projects

🔥Don't Play with Fire

• Design: Crafted the core concept and ensured a seamless experience for players.
• Documentation:
  • GDD: Outlined the mechanics, goals, gameplay, and narrative.
  • LDD: Defined different challenges, and progression for each level.

• Prototyping: Built the initial versions to test gameplay elements and design choices.
• Production: Oversaw the process from concept to the final product, ensuring a polished end result.

👹 Beelzebub Bureaucracy  (GameJam)

• Game Programming: Responsible for the coding of all visible gameplay elements and interactions.
• Game Design: Defined part of  game's overall mechanics.

🌌 Project E.V.A

• Mechanic Programming: Developed and refined the game's core mechanics.
• Concept Development: Actively contributed to the initial brainstorming and ideation phase, shaping the game's foundation
• Music & Sounds: Composed immersive audio experiences  and    integrated them into the game.
• Production: Coordinated various aspects of development to bring the project to life.

💪 Gigachad Generator (GameJam)

• Programming: Undertook the majority of the coding responsibilities,
• Design: Contributed to the game's core design, defining gameplay element.

🕷️ The Spider Game

• Overview: My very first game creation; it was the beginning of my game development journey.

Other projects

Over the years, I've sought ways to improve and broaden my skills as a game developer through various projects. Here are a few highlights:

• Developed a software tool to facilitate sharing of maps and music while playing role-playing games online with friends.
• Crafted a series of card and tabletop games as part of a seven-year Boy Scout project.
• Authored a comprehensive manual for a "Dragon Age" role-playing game, accompanied by meticulously designed maps.
• Designed immersive escape rooms and curated activities for friends and assorted projects.
